people who were transported to the hospital earlier this morning here off of brotherhood way and thomas moore way. it happened shortly before 3:00 this morning. when, again, that car crashed into the tree. we're not sure if they were speeding, if they lost control or any of the details because there's an investigation team here and they've been standing around. i think they are waiting until it gets a little lighter. er in -- and they are examining the evidence. there's so much stuff in the roadway now. we don't know the extent of the injuries of the three people involved but typically in a crash like this there's major trauma and those folks would go to the hospital. we're not sure who the driver is but again this roadway has been shut down for two hours. most likely at least two hours i'm being told. we're on the back side of lake merced and this is the route a lot of people get to get to 19th avenue and 280 southbound for the morning commute. this is going to be tied up for quite some time. i would advise actually cutting behind the mall in order to get to 19th avenue or you can also head
